I believe man must be free, both in spirit and society, that he must build strength into himself, affirming the enormous beauty of the world and acquiring the confidence to see and to express his vision.  And I believe in photography as one means of expressing this affirmation, and of achieving an ultimate happiness and faith."

TEST QUESTION ANSWER:  The rock formations are not at all different.  These are both the same rock formation and even the same photograph, but one of the images is inverted.

EXTRA CREDIT QUESTION:  Why do the rock formations appear to be concave in the left image and convex when the image is inverted (right image)?  Correct answer posted at the bottom of June, 2009 Photographer's Diary.
